The Shamrock

Early-1900s-Saint-Patricks-Day--Postcard(1)

I’ll bet that you thought the most important feast today was the feast of corned beef and cabbage that we call Saint Patric’s Day, but today is, more importantly, Passion Sunday, and the beginning of Passiontide. However as it seems that all of New York is celebrating some sort of secularized holiday created for the Irish, I thought I’d present you with a link to a setting of the Quinque Vult, or Athenasian Creed (it starts on page 16) just to remind us of what Saint Patrick would want us to remember. Three in one and one in three in the shamrock we see the Trinity.
